My tutor Esther van Huet makes it easier to develop the language skills as she's very flexible on how to explain it and has great knowledge of the grammar and language itself. She has very good teaching skills too and presents games of words besides the course's student guides/exercises. She keeps it fun and she's seriously engaged in my progress. The lessons are really worthwhile and Esther has lots of patience. I highly recommend Esther van Huet to anyone who's learning Dutch.

Inburgeringscursus
How long will it take me to complete the inburgeringscursus?
The answer to this question is different for everyone and depends on your current language level, mother tongue, affinity with languages and practice outside of the classroom. From our own experience, it is possible to move from one language level to the next in just 20 hours of private lessons and even reach basic fluency in about 40 hours!
I have a few weeks off from obligations; can I take an intensive course?
Great that you want to take this time to fully immerse yourself in preparing for your Inburgering Exam! As you are free to schedule classes the way they work for you, an intensive course is definitely one of the possibilities. By taking lessons every day, you can truly speed up the learning process and get fully ready and prepared in no time.
Is the inburgeringscursus available online?
Sure. You can choose to take lessons from home in Amsterdam, Haarlem or Leiden but we also offer the possibility to schedule classes online. Added benefit: you get a 10% discount if you choose online Dutch lessons.
Do you also provide courses to prepare for the NT2 exam?
Yes. Our teachers have experience both with helping to prepare for the Inburgering Exam as well as the NT2 exam. More questions about this? Feel free to get in touch or fill out our intake form here.

All of our packages include VAT, travel costs, our customized lesson materials and of course your very own private teacher.
Can my company pay for my lessons?
Sure! The invoice of your inburgeringscursus can be sent to your employer, all we need are their invoice – and contact details. You can start the course as soon as payment is in.
Is lesson credit refundable if my plans change?

Even better: Dutch lessons are completely tax free as determined by the Dutch government. Easy as that!
Can my company pay for my Dutch beginner lessons?
Definitely. All we need are your company’s invoice details and the email address of the person handling finances. The invoice for your Dutch beginner lessons will then get sent directly to them.
How long is lesson credit valid?
Lesson credits are valid for 3-9 months, depending on the package you choose. Within these 3-9 months you have the freedom to schedule lessons when and where you want, making it possible to pause your course for a few weeks should that become necessary. Simply can’t find a way to complete your course in time? We’ll be happy to discuss the possibilities of extending your credits whenever necessary.

If you’re goal is to speak with confidence we’re here to help. To learn effectively you need to embrace making mistakes and truly become interested in what you’re trying to learn. Our tutors create a safe learning environment and guide you towards exercise material that is relevant to your personal interests.
Where do lessons take place?
Lessons take place online, or at your home or office. Whichever you prefer. If you’re the adventurous type, many of our tutors are happy to show you the city during your lessons as well.
Which platform do you use for online video lessons?
You get to decide together with your teacher which online platform works best for the both of you. This can range from Skype to Zoom to Google Meet.
How do you give online lessons?
The platforms we use vary from Google Meet to Zoom to Teams and Skype. It’s really up to you and your teacher to find one that fits both of you best. How do I schedule lessons?
During your intake you can decide when and where you want lessons. You also decide lesson length and frequency, though we do recommend 2 lessons of 1.5 hours each week for the best results. Lessons are planned directly with your tutor and can be cancelled up to 48 hours in advance.

We’ll plan a second trial lesson with a new tutor free of charge. We’ll always help you find the perfect replacement so you can make the most of your lessons.
How much homework is there?
Our first question would be: how much homework do you want? Some of our students simply can’t find the time in their busy lives and that is absolutely ok! We work based on your schedule and not the other way around. Want to keep practicing outside of the lessons? Your teacher will discuss with you the amount and type of homework that is suitable for you.
Can you help me with training for the Inburgering or NT2 exam?
We definitely can! Our teachers have plenty of experience with preparing students for their Dutch language exams. We can determine your current level together before the start of the online course, where after we help you gain the knowledge you still need to pass your exam.
