Does this sound familiar?
- You need to pass A2/B1/B2
For residency, naturalisation, BiG or studies. But previous courses were slow or unfocused.
- You want to speak confidently
In meetings, at shops and small talk, but you freeze when it’s your turn to respond in Dutch.
- You want to feel at home
Living here means settling in, but phone menus, GP visits, kids’ school and letters still give you stress.
So, why 1‑on‑1 and not another group or app?
What didn’t work before
- Big groups, little time for your questions
- Fixed dates that clash with work and travel
- Slowest‑in‑group pace
- Grammar rules, not real‑life Dutch
What changes with 1‑on‑1 online
- Immediate feedback on what you actually say and write
- Flexible times (08:00–22:00, Mon-Sun)
- Pace and content set on your goals
- All practice based on your work and life

Built for busy people who’ve already tried other courses
Most of our students already tried group courses, apps or uni classes and felt they “weren’t language people.”
Usually it was the format that failed them, not the other way around.
We design around that reality, not against it.
- Flexible, not all‑or‑nothing
You don’t have to be perfect. Pause lessons during busy weeks, holidays or illness, or slow the pace anytime.
- One dedicated tutor + clear plan
Your tutor sets a plan and we track your progress. You always know the next step and have accountability.
- Safe way out if it’s not a fit
Easily change tutors. If by lesson 3 you feel it’s still not a fit, you can stop and get remaining hours refunded.
- 48‑hour cancellation
Life happens. Work becomes demanding. Cancel or move lessons up to 48 hours in advance for free.
- Start small, grow later
You don’t have to commit to a huge package. Many students start small and add hours once they see it works.

Does this actually work?
4.9★ from 160+ reviews by expats and professionals who needed Dutch for exams, work and daily life.
Here’s what they say about our lessons:
I’ve been taking lessons with Annelies; she’s patient, easy‑going and always explains things clearly. My Dutch has already improved a lot, especially my speaking.
I took a lesson package with Philip, who tailored the lessons to my specific needs in the wine business. Dutch Ready made it a simple, smooth process to find a great teacher.
Every lesson is fun, engaging and highly useful. By the end of the course, I was able to have conversations with people in social situations and actually use my Dutch.
Our Dutch has improved so much in the short time we’ve spent with Esther! The method works and now we’re comfortable in having simple conversations and understanding our surroundings in Dutch!
Every lesson feels productive, and I actually use the language in real life. For instance interactions in stores or holding short conversations with partner's Dutch family.
Lessons are structured and informative. Thanks to organised lesson plans, I was able to build my grammar and vocabulary. Wieteke is patient and encouraging, guiding me through complicated concepts.
My tutor Annette is wonderful. Regular weekly 1‑1 lessons online have given me the confidence to start speaking Dutch from the start, and I understand so much more now.

Frequently Asked Questions
If you don’t see your question here, ask us on a free explore call or send a WhatsApp message.
What exactly is included in the €84,95 test lesson?
The test lesson includes:
- Intake questions about your goals, schedule and preferences
- A baseline level check
- A 1‑hour online lesson with a matched tutor
It’s a full, normal lesson, not just a chat.
If you start a package within 7 days, we credit the full €84,95 towards your package.
Is the €84,95 test lesson a one‑time fee or per lesson?
It’s a one‑time fee for the test lesson: intake questions, level check and a 1‑hour online lesson with a matched tutor.
If you start a package within 7 days, we credit the full €84,95 towards your package.
Do I have to do a test lesson, or can I start straight with a package?
Most students do a test lesson first so we can check your level and tutor match.
If after the explore call it’s very clear what you need, you can start directly with a package, but we still recommend at least one test lesson before committing to a larger number of hours.
How much does it cost and how do payments work?
Our online 1‑on‑1 packages start from €900.
You can either pay in full (with a small discount) or spread the cost over monthly instalments.
All prices include VAT; Dutch language lessons are VAT‑exempt under education rules.
How many hours do I need to reach A2 / B1 / B2?
It depends on your starting point and how much time you have for homework, but as a rule of thumb:
- A‑levels (A0→A1 or A1→A2): about 20–30 lesson hours
- B‑levels (A2→B1 or B1→B2): about 40–60 lesson hours
On the explore call we map your level and goal and advise what makes sense for you.
Do you have dedicated Inburgering / NT2 exam tracks?
Yes. We usually work in two phases:
- First we get you to the required level (A2, B1 or B2).
- Then we focus on exam strategy: practising with old exams, timing, and how to structure your answers.
I’m anxious about speaking / my pronunciation. Can you help with that?
A lot of our students feel nervous speaking Dutch, especially after group courses where they felt exposed.
In 1‑on‑1, you’re with one supportive tutor who corrects you kindly and works on pronunciation at your pace. Many reviews mention increased confidence as one of the biggest wins.
What happens if I need to pause or my schedule changes?
You don’t have to be perfect.
You can cancel or move lessons up to 48 hours in advance without losing your hours, and you can pause your package for holidays, illness or busy periods within the validity window. We’ll agree the rhythm together so it fits real life.
When are lessons available? Evenings and weekends?
Yes. We offer online lessons Monday to Sunday, roughly 08:00–22:00 (depending on tutor availability).
On the explore call we look at your preferred days and times and match you with a tutor who fits that.
How quickly can I start?
Usually you can start within about one week:
- Explore call → 30 minutes
- Baseline level check → 20 minutes
- Tutor search → usually 5-7 days
- Test lesson → 60 minutes
In busy periods it can take a bit longer, but we’ll tell you honestly on the call.
Can you invoice my employer or use my learning budget?
Yes. About half of our students use an employer learning budget.
We can invoice your employer directly, adapt hours to a fixed budget (e.g. €850, €1.500, €2.000) and provide formal quotes or confirmation letters for HR on request.
Are the lessons really tailored to me?
Yes. All online 1‑on‑1 lessons are private and can be used for:
- Exam prep (A2/B1/B2, inburgering, NT2)
- Work Dutch (emails, meetings, presentations)
- Everyday life and confidence
Your tutor builds a plan around your goals and adjusts it as you progress.
How do payment plans work?
You can choose between pay‑in‑full (5% discount) and monthly installments for lesson packages.
With monthly installments the payments are done per month, but lessons can be planned in a shorter timeframe if you want.
What if it’s not a good fit?
If by your 3rd lesson you feel it’s not a good fit, you can stop and get the remaining hours of your package refunded according to our policy.
You can also switch tutors if the match isn’t right, just talk to us and we’ll help.
What’s the best next step for you?
